NODE.Health announced the winners of the 2018 Best in Class Clinical Studies Competition. The NODE.Health competition is about discovery, standardization, improvement and sharing best practices in digital evidence. The distinguished panel of judges reviewed over 75 submissions and painstakingly narrowed it down to eight winners in five categories. In three categories, the quality of submissions was so high that two prizes were awarded. The winners are:

  • Best Evidence-Based – Suchi Saria, Bayesian Health

  • Best Evidence-Based – Dr. Leon Eisen, Oxitone Medical

  • Most Promising Innovation – Dr. Ben Rosner, Formerly HealthLoop (recently acquired by GetWellNetwork)

  • Most Promising Innovation – Dr. Harris Eyre, CNS Dose

  • Most Attention to Underserved – Brett Grob, Pieces Technologies, Inc.

  • Best Usability Testing – Vicenç Ferrer, Mediktor

  • Best Usability Testing – Laurie Thackeray, RecoverLINK

  • Best Integration into Workflow – Ed Barber, Pattern Health

The awards will be presented on Friday, December 7th at the NODE.Health Annual Digital Medicine Conference at the Microsoft Conference Center in New York City. Award winners will present on the main stage of the Digital Medicine Conference. Dr. Ashish Atreja founding chair of NODE.Health and Chief Innovation and Engagement Officer of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System, is excited to see how the NODE.Health message resonates across the digital health community. “With the right tools, we can improve health care outcomes and create efficiencies,” said Dr. Atreja. “What NODE.Health is doing, and what the Digital Medicine Conference promotes, is harnessing evidence to promote the best digital tools that stimulate greater patient care, outcomes, and engagement. Attendees at this year’s conference are pioneers in the field who are dedicated to this common goal.”
